Learning Objectives
The main subject is adaptation to changing water resources and water demand with glacier retreat and changing monsoon precipitation and related science policy interaction. The Spring School will improve your knowledge on the climate change and socio economic changes, understand uncertainty and will also give you hands-on experience in participatory processes to develop adaptation measures. Filling in missing links between science and a policy perspective. Exposure to climate change impacts and how to engage with adaptation options.

Who Can Attend?
The course is suitable for PhD students as well as early career scientists in India, and Masters students in their final year, primarily studying or conducting research within the area of water and climate change, as well as policy makers dealing with climate change and adaptation in various sectors. Priority will be given to applicants from different backgrounds from India and particularly those who are interested in increasing their knowledge and learning more about modern tools for analysing adaptation to changing water resources and water demand with glacier retreat and changing monsoon precipitation. The analysis will be carried out from a biophysical, socio-economic and policy perspective. The activity will be conducted in English.
A limited number of positions are available. Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. There will be no registration fee and no accommodation charges. Some funds are available for travel for participants from the Asian developing countries. Participants will receive a certificate at the end of the spring school.
